In a Public survey, the respondent is still prompted for their e-mail address, but the survey is not secured. A respondent may enter any address to participate in the survey. With a Public survey, you do not have to enter the respondent's email addresses into SurveyShare prior to activating your survey. Respondents provide that password, instead of their email addresses to participate. SurveyShare also offers an 'Anonymous Unsecured' survey type where the respondent is not prompted for any identification.
